Dussledorf managed to get important three pointer away to Duisburg last Sunday afternoon in a 1:2 victory, victory that kept them being at the first position for the moment.

They looked better in the first halftime and deservedly took the lead via Hennings in 40th minute, however their hosts have responded with very good performance in the second halftime and maybe have deserved more, however the guests doubled up their lead in 88th minute with a goal from Usami.

It was one of rare chances for Dussledorf in second halftime, as the hosts only managed to reduce in 90th minute via Tashchy. This was second consecutive victory for Fortuna, as the side keeps the first position with five points lead in comparison to second placed Nurnberg.

Goalkeeper Rensing (3/0) is more of a long term absentee due injury being sidelined, same as defenders Schmitz (12/1), Hoffmann (20/2) and Gul (who didn’t perform so far anyway).

Bielefeld had a very difficult game last Friday afternoon, but the side managed to overpower Nurnberg in front of own fans with narrow 1:0 result and keep the chances of promotion for now.

The game itself was actually very equal one, with the teams having similar number of good chances, while the hosts have kept the ball more to their feet. Second halftime was more interesting, with both teams having chances to take the lead, but the hosts were more decisive to attack towards the end and got the lead in 90th minute finally thanks to a goal from Kerschbaumer, leaving no time for their visitors to respond.

After this victory, the side is at fifth position with just three points less than play-off and third placed Holstein Kiel, so they are logically in need of points here.

Guests continue to miss defender Teixeira (9/0) and forward Quaschner (4/0).

Dusseldorf is more than decent at home and surely are going for a three pointer, however their biggest problem remains with the defensive lineup and their concentration. Bielefeld is now in decent form, very close to the play-off position and has very little to lose here.

They’ve been doing surprisingly well recently on the road and my first betting choice for this game will be both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals – something that we can easily see already after sixty minutes of play or so.
