Greuther Furth is now in a really good form considering their previous results and current table position, as the team comes from a 0:2 victory away from home last weekend when they managed to overpower Nurnberg and get their second consecutive three pointer, also third in last four matches.

At the same time, they remained undefeated in last four matches, in a game where they shown really concrete performance and ball movement, being very concrete every time with the ball to their feet. First part was somehow equal, while the visitors opened up the scoreline in 49th minute via Narey and remained with more concrete chances, sealing the victory in second minute of additional time via Steininger.

On the other side, Nurnberg dind’t look that bad either, however their chances were far from really concrete ones – something that they usually do. Furth is now standing still in the second part of the table, being currently at fifteenth position with just a point more than play-out placed Aue.

Home team misses defensive midfielder Adam Pinter (9/0) due injury, but also midfielders Uffe Bech (2/0), Nik Omladic (4/1) and forward Kaylen Hinds (1/0), players with quite limited influence this season.

Kaiserslautern, on the other side, also comes from a victory taken, in front of own fans last Friday evening when the team welcomed Union Berlin and managed to fight out a 4:3 victory in the end in one of more interesting matches in previous round.

Borrello opened up the lead for the home team in sixth minute, while the visitors replied via an own goal in 36th – however hosts re-took the lead in 41st via Anderson. Overall, Union Berlin had more of the ball possession and leveled up again, in 51st minute via Skrzybski but he hosts never stopped fighting, getting the lead back in 66th minute form a penalty kick taken by Moritz.

Each side scored once more, team from Berlin leveling result again via Skrzybski in 81st and Mwene sealing the victory in 86th minute. Visitors might have deserved more, however weren’t as concrete as their opponents were and that’s all the counts in a game that would probably been more fair if it had ended as a draw.

With four victories in last six rounds, the team still keeps the rock bottom position, but now having just five points less than play-out placed Aue and just six less than safely placed sides – situation that is far away from a positive one, but much better than the one they had in Autumn.

Right back Benjamin Kessel (17/0) is suspended for this one due accumulation of yellow cards, while injured and out remain central defender Giuliano Modica (5/0), defensive midfielder Mads Albaek (4/0), midfielder Daniel Halfar (9/1) and striker Kacper Przybylko (1/0).

  • Last six away matches of K’lautern ended with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals at least.

In case Furth continues to play with the same momentum, they should be able to avoid relegation battle far before the last rounds of the league, while Kaiserslautern seems also to be in better form than in previous months. Neither of the teams is afraid to attack and they earned their points recently thanks to offensive effort, so I expect goals in this one.

Both of the teams should be going for a three pointer, especially the visitors who are under pressure to risk even more – something that should make this one as open minded as possible – from both teams.
