Kilmarnock confirmed their good form last Wednesday evening when the team managed to get a 2:0 victory at home over St Johnstone to get their sixth consecutive match without defeat in Premiership.

Moreover, it was their fourth victory in these six matches, as the hosts took the lead from the penalty kick taken by Boyd in 30th minute. They were better from the off and fully deserved that three pointer, however major fact happened towards the end of the first halftime when the visitors stood playing with a man less – something that made the game much more easier for the hosts later on.

They remained being better till the rest of the match and have doubled up the lead in 58th minute via Erwin, missing some decent chances till the end, but also being satisfied with the double lead already.

The side now stands just inside the play-off zone having five points more than seventh placed Motherwell and are in need of points still.

Home side should be playing in a version of 4-3-3 formation with Jones, Boyd and McKenzie as forwards. Defender Steven Smith (3/0) and Iain Wilson (9/1) are both long term absentees. Other than that, their coach Steve Clarke has fully fit squad to choose from and shouldn’t change much.

Ross County, on the other side, suffered 2:0 defeat last time out, as they visited St Johnstone now more than two weeks ago in the most recent Scottish Premiership league.

The game itself was quite a balanced one and wasn’t that interesting actually, with the hosts being better in the first halftime and taking the double lead with two goals from Davidson, while the guests replied properly in second and had some decentish chances, however scoreline never changed.

With just one victory in last fifteen rounds played, they stand at the rock bottom position with twenty-one points earned which is three less than second from the bottom Partick Thistle.

Guests are set to continue in 4-4-2 formation with Schalk and N’Gog as forwards. They will miss injured four: defender Andrew Davies (20/0) and midfielders Jamie Lindsay (18/1), Greg Tansey (2/0) and Tony Dingwall (no performance so far in the season in Premier League).

  • Ross County have conceded at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 away matches (Premiership).
  • Kilmarnock have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 home matches (Premiership).

Hosts are having excellent form of late and are more than a tough team to beat at the moment. They should have all the superiority in front of own fans against a side that changed the manager during the week and brought a duo of managers as replacement. There is some obvious individual quality difference speaking in favor of the hosts and I doubt the visitors had enough time to change anything really.
