Even though their chances looked like quite overwritten in the previous round away to St Etienne, players of Dijon managed to respond well and get a point in a 2:2 draw last Saturday afternoon. First halftime was spend in wast superiority of St Etienne when talking about the ball possession, but the visiting side threatened more than well via counter attacks.

They managed to take the lead in 32nd minute via Tavares, but the response of the hosts was quick, in first minute of additional time via Beric while they even missed a penalty kick several minutes earlier.

Guests surprised in the second too, taking the lead again, this time via Said in 55th minute, but Beric scored his second goal just few minutes later for the final result. Overall, no doubt that the hosts were better, but lacked that extra finishing touch in last phase of the game to finally revert the scoreline.

This was third consecutive game without defeat for Dijon as the side stands at tenth position for the moment with eight points more than play-out placed Troyes and don’t have much to worry in case the side keeps in the same manner.

Defender Oussama Haddadi (24/1) and midfielder Florent Balmont (19/1) are both suspended for this game. Doubtful are defender Fouad Chafik and midfielder Xeka, both coming from injuries slowly.

Amiens, on the other side, didn’t manage to find a way and confirm their previous victory away to Nantes, as the side welcomed Rennes last Saturday afternoon and stood defeated with a 0:2 result. They maybe have deserved more, being a side with a bit more chances in the first halftime, but the guests took the lead via Khazri in 41st minute.

However, second halftime almost totally belonged to the players of Rennes, as they have created much more and looked far better finally sealing the victory in 86th minute via Sarr. It was third game without a victory in front of own fans in Ligue 1 for Amiens, as the side keeps being just above the relegation zone with twenty-nine points earned, just a point less than play-out placed Troyes.

Left back Danilo Avelar is questionable for this one, as well as experienced defender Mathieu Bodmer and forward Gael Kukuta who comes off from ankle problem. Striker Quentin Cornette (6/1) is more of a long term absentee now with a broken leg.

Dijon looked really well in previous couple of weeks and surely are set as favorites correctly here. Amiens are far away from a solid side on the road and I can’t see them walking away with something twice in a row, not after generally undeserving victory away to Nantes in their last game on the road.
